Image
AssalamuAlaikum Brothers and Sisters The literal meaning of the Arabic word kaʿbah (كَعْبَة) is "cube." It is also referred to   Al-Kaʿbah al-Musharrafah (Arabic: أَلكَعْبَة أَلمُشَرَّفَة ‎, the Holy Ka'bah). In the province of Hejaz in the western part of Arabia, not far from the Red Sea, there lies the town of Makka. In the center of this town, there is a cuboid stone structure made of granite it's about 60 feet long, 60 feet wide and 60 feet high approximately. Inside the Kaaba, the floor is made of marble and limestone. The interior walls, measuring 13 m (43 ft) by 9 m (30 ft), are clad (clothed )  with tiles, white marble halfway to the roof, with darker trimmings along the floor. The floor of the interior stands about 2.2 m (7.2 ft) above the ground area where tawaf is performed. Image
AssalamuAlaikum Brothers and Sisters, Why Allah has created us is one of the important question often asked from Muslims and we have a simple answer just to WORSHIP him,, finish but does this answer satisfies if a non-muslim will ask this question....? I guess no because then they will ask next logical question that Why does Allah create us  (men and jinns) to worship him...? Allah says: "The creation of the Heavens and the Earth is indeed greater than the creation of mankind; yet, most of mankind know not." Al-Qur'an 40:57 Man is not the greatest act of creation, this universe is far more complex and far more magnificent than men. So the issue of creation should then go to, "Why did Allah create?" Allah is the creator. That is one of His qualities that is what He has informed us. That creation is being His great attribute (Quality),   THE CREATOR,  Thus the product of this quality is His creation. Allah says: "There is nothing ...

Why do Muslims bury dead bodies instead of burning them?

Image
In Islam, the deceased is to be buried within 24 hours. The 24-hour burial is not in the Qur'an but is a cultural practice from the faith's desire to respect the body and to avoid decay. "Also, Prophet Mohammed SAW said. "This is disrespecting the body." "Muslims don't normally use coffins, they just bury in the ground, where it (the body) becomes part of the soil," He said. "The upper part of the body, the head, is turned toward Mecca. "We respect the deceased just as if they were alive. The washing and the wrapping with a shroud (an enveloping garment in which a dead person is wrapped for burial) are done carefully. We do not allow viewing of the body except for the immediate family after the washing." In Quraan, it is clearly stated that "And indeed we created man (Adam) out of the extract of  clay (water and earth)."  {Surat  Al-Mu'minun (The Believers): 12}. Compon ents of a human body are prese...

Who is Allah and what is Monotheism?

Image
AssalamuAlaikum Brothers and Sisters It is a very important question who is Allah? It conflicts from different religions but in Islam, Allah told us in Quraan from Surah Ikhlas what Allah is and what Allah is not. Surah Ikhlas chapter 112 of the Holy Qur’an is a short declaration of Taheed which says: "Qul hu allah hu ahad" – Say He is Allah, The One and Only (He is one in worthiness to be worshipped. That is, He is the Worshipped Being {ma‘bud} who is unique in everything). "Allah hus Samad" – Allah, The Eternal, Absolute (He is everlasting without any doubt. “Samad” means impenetrable, indestructible and unchangeable). "Lam ya lid wa lam yulad" – He did not give birth, nor was He born (He is neither in anything nor is anything in Him. His relationship with things is not like that of a parent to his child. It is rather the relationship of the Creator {khaliq} with the creature {makhluq} ). "Walam ya qul laho kuffuan ahad"  ...

Islam means to believe in the oneness of Allah to believe on kalma Tayyaba Laaa Ilaaha Illa-llaahu Muhammadur-Rasoolu-llaah There is none worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah The word Islam means voluntary “ Submission ” or “ Surrender ” to the Will of God (ALLAH). It derives from the root word “salam,” meaning peace. In the Quran, God defines that the only purpose for which He created mankind is to Worship Him. Islam recognizes that humankind has free choice in whether to obey or disobey God, but ultimately we will be held accountable to God in the next life for the choices that we make in this life. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.” The shahada shows that a Muslim believes in Allah alone as the deity and believes that Muhammad SAW is His messenger. 2. Prayer (salat) : Five r...
