Significance of Surah Al-Ikhlas


AssalamuAlaikum Brothers and Sisters,
As we know every single word of the Qur'an is poetic and a miracle in itself. There is evidence from hadith and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that make a particular part of Qur'an gain more respect than the other.

Surah Ikhlas is one of the prominent surahs of Holy Quran which holds the highest importance in Islamic contest. Also Known as Surah at-Tawheed (The Unity). The word Ikhlas means "Pure" (Khalis-without any change and manipulation). Surah Ikhlas is important as it tells us what Allah is and what Allah is not.

Surah Ikhlas was revealed in Makkah and it has 4 verses. It is one of the most recited Surahs of Qur'an and Muslim all across the world memorize it as one of the smallest Surah from Noble Qur'an have great rewards.

Rewards and Benefits of Reciting Surah Ikhlas
There are many benefits of reciting Surah Ikhlas some of them are given below that we all should know about:

💜Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:
A man heard another man reciting (Surat-Al-Ikhlas) ; Say He is Allah, (the) One; (112:1) repeatedly. The next morning he came to Allah's Messenger (SAW) and informed him about it as if he thought that it was not enough to recite. On that Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "By Him in Whose Hand my life is, this Surah is equal to one-third of the Qur'an!"

💜Narrated Aisha (RA):
Whenever the Prophet (SAW) went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times.

💜It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that in the two Rakat before the Fajr, the Prophet (SAW) used to recite:
"Say: O you disbelievers!" [Al-Kafirun (109)] and & "Say: Allah is One." [Al-Ikhlas (112)]

💜Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, Surat Ikhlas is equivalent to one-third of the Qur'an.

💜Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
A man said: O Messenger of Allah! I love Surat-Al-Ikhlas
[Say: He is Allah, (the) One]. He (SAW) said, "Your love for it will admit you to Jannah".

💜ProphetMohammed (SAW) said: “Whoever recites Qul Huwa Allaahu Ahad ten times; Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
(Saheeh al-Jaami) (Musnad Ahmad Hadith No. 8869)

💜Recitation of Surah Ikhlas brings the benefit of reward equal to the recitation of one-third of Quran. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Say: He is Allah, Absolute Oneness, By Him in Whose hand my soul is, it is equal to one-third of the Quran!” (Bukhari)

💜 Hazrat Aisha RA quoted, Allah loves those whoever Recites Surah Ikhlas regularly.
(Sahih Muslim Hadith no. 1347)

💜Love for surah Ikhlas and if it is recited on a regular basis, Allah will build his house in paradise.
 (Jaami Tirmidhi Hadith no. 3220)

💜 In witr prayer, Prophet Mohammad (SA) use to recite Surah Aala in the first rakah, Surah Kafiroon in second rakah and Surah Ikhlas in the third rakah.
(Sunan Nisai Hadith no. 1640)

💜In fajr prayer, Prophet Mohammad (SAW) use to recite Surah Ikhlas and in the second rakah Surah Kafiroon. (Sahih Muslim Hadith no.2031)

It is mandatory that every Muslim should know the significance of Surah Ikhlas, should memorize it and recite it on daily basis, to gain numerous rewards and benefits. It is not about just reciting it, we must have our full faith in it and our whole life should be dedicated to this Surah. May Allah (SWT) make us regular reciter of this Surah so that we can get more blessings and happiness from our Almighty Allah.
